I used to think all a coincidence. But now I do believe events in life are part of God\u2019s plan. I am so thankful!<\/p>\n Earlier this year, I went to Taipei visiting friends, and scheduled routine medical exam. I had a series of tests. Most results came back normal. During my devotion on the morning for the liver result, I felt very peaceful so decided to go to the clinic alone. The doctor dropped the shocking news on me—-I have liver cancer! Thanks to the morning prayer of grace, I was very calm. No question of \u201cwhy me?\u201d I just proceeded to ask the doctor about next steps….<\/p>\n As surgery was near, I became anxious and impatient. After surgery, the doctor advised me the cancer was at an early stage, no other treatment required. He instructed me to live a normal life and have routine checkup.<\/p>\n Inside my heart, I feel: “Blessed, so blessed, and forever blessed!”<\/p>\n God\u2019s plan is so obvious: \u00a0my husband was around to give me support; I was in Taiwan not US where I did not have medical insurance; good wishes from close-by relatives and friends; cared for by the best medical team; recovered in the comfort of our home my husband bought last year—-thanks to his long-term planning ahead wisdom. See how all things happened accordingly, praise the Lord!<\/p>\n This experience made me aware that I can endure brief suffering. If I can\u2019t, God will carry me and make provision! I always have peace and joy walking with God! Sharing my insights:<\/p>\n * Embrace those who are good to me. When I feel negative, quickly seek help from a positive friend.<\/p>\n * Don\u2019t worry about tomorrow, because we cannot control the future. Trust in God.<\/p>\n * Live in the present; accept facts of life; face problems and analyze your options; manage emotions.<\/p>\n * Cancer is not a terminal illness. Even so, keep up the hope to live the remaining life.<\/p>\n I had the six month re-check after surgery in the US, just when I am qualified for Medicare. Not a coincidence, trust God\u2019s timing is perfect! I witness Lord’s amazing grace giving me hope of life! He grants me health and family. He teaches me to love Him and all people! Let all glory go to God!<\/p>\n Having had cancer seems like my misfortune. Thankfully, it was discovered early and treated properly. This was God\u2019s lesson to strengthen my body and soul.
